Shenekqual Carter is a Community Engagement Director, providing education and resources to the communities of North Texas. She has served as a community educator in North Texas for over twenty years. As Director of Community Health Strategies for the American Diabetes Association, she provided national recognized health educational workshops for high-risk populations. Shenekqual is a Certified Community Health Worker and serves as the Chair of the Parkland Hatcher Station Clinic. She also serves on the Community Advisory Board for HealthCheck DFW, as well as Baylor Scott and White Wellness Center. She volunteers with North Texas Food Bank, Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, Dallas County Senior Programs, and Cena en el Barrio.

 

Shenekqual holds an Associate Degree of Arts from Tarrant County College, A Bachelor’s of Social Work from Tarleton State University.  She is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Public Leadership from the University of North Texas at Dallas.
